Fieldwork

A bicycle workshop for everyday riders.

We keep commuter, road and family bikes moving. Our small workshop handles servicing, punctures, brakes and gears. Customers usually start with a message describing what the bike is doing.

What we work on

  • Routine service. A booked inspection and adjustment of brakes, gears and moving parts. Replacement parts need the customer's approval.
  • Punctures and tyres. Bring the bike during opening hours. We confirm the queue and tyre availability before promising collection.
  • Brakes and gears. Describe the symptom and tell us the bike type. We arrange an inspection before quoting repairs.
  • E-bikes. We service mechanical parts. Battery, motor and firmware faults go to the manufacturer's service partner.

Before we book

Tell us the bike type, the problem, when it started and whether you need it back by a particular day. For an e-bike, include the brand and whether the problem is mechanical or electrical. If that is unclear, we ask before routing the request.

Crash damage, cracked frames and uncertain symptoms need a mechanic's assessment. A message cannot establish that a bike is safe to ride. We do not diagnose faults, approve repairs or guarantee prices from a description alone.

Opening hours are Tuesday–Saturday, 09:00–18:00. A staff member confirms appointment availability and turnaround. A requested deadline is useful context, not a confirmed booking.

Behind the counter

Our team reads each enquiry, asks for missing details and decides whether to offer a service appointment, invite a puncture drop-off, arrange an inspection or refer specialist electrical work. The same questions recur throughout the day.

We would like customers to reach the right next step before a staff member picks up the conversation. Staff should still control bookings, repair approval and advice requiring an inspection.

Typical enquiries

“My commuter bike needs its yearly service. Could I bring it next Thursday?”

“The rear tyre is flat. Can I drop the bike off this afternoon?”

“My e-bike motor keeps cutting out. Can you update its firmware?”

“Something clicks when I pedal. I'm not sure where it comes from.”
